Dive into my values
Ethos
When selecting a business for such a personal service, you may want to know what's important to me. Here's where you can find out!
My business ethos comes back to three words:
connection ~ experience ~ customisation
You are the heart of my operation. My priority is to connect and make you feel comfortable, provide a great experience, and fully tailor my services to your individual needs. For more about what you can expect from a photography session with Willow & Wren Imagery, click below.
Community

Community is at the core of who I am. I strive to meaningfully contribute to my local area and do good whenever I'm able. I currently work with two not-for-profits that are incredibly important to me.

SEAWL (South East Animal Welfare League) are a local not-for-profit that house and care for surrendered and abandoned cats and dogs. They work tirelessly to rehome these gorgeous creatures, many of whom have been neglected or abused. I donate my time photographing their current residents, particularly if they haven't caught the eye of any potential new owners.

Heartfelt is an Australia-wide organisation who capture images for families who have experienced a still-birth or have a child with a life-threatening condition, free of charge. I am a volunteer photographer for Mount Gambier and the surrounding areas, providing this caring and confidential service to families in need. This is particularly important to me as my family was the recipient of one of their sessions after my daughter was born as a micro-preemie in 2025.
Supporting Local
Keeping business and partnerships within the community is vital to me; I will always strive to produce products as locally as possible, without compromising on quality. Everything from prints, to frames, to packaging is sourced from Australian businesses (local to the Mount Gambier area whenever possible).
Sustainability

My first priority is offering clients products of exceptional quality, the second is reducing single-use and plastic products to do it. Any physical products ordered through Willow & Wren Imagery meet rigorous quality standards. They are made to stand the test of time when cared for appropriately.
However, keeping the world clean and sustainable for generations to come is essential. All packaging of products are free from plastic and sustainably sourced. I am always open to avenues that further reduce environmental impact.
Artificial Intelligence
My mission, above all else, is to capture your personal human experience. It requires understanding, creativity, and a personal touch. It's something Artificial Intelligence (AI) simply can't do.
AI is a complex can of worms in photography. Like many other professions, generative AI is becoming pervasive and countless programs are marketed to photographers to 'make their life easier'. From programs designed to cull images (decide which images end up in your gallery), to generative AI removal and retouching, it's impossible to be a digital photographer and not be exposed to AI.
My pledge is to utilise AI as little as possible and to never use generative AI on my images at all. I will never input images I capture into an AI program. Not to cull your gallery, not to edit images. I value your privacy and my artistic work. When utilising programs that include AI components (like my editing software, DxO Photolab, and Canva), I refuse to use the generative AI tools, simply because it isn't compatible with my vision for authenticity.
